Garth Woodside Mansion is a historical Victorian Estate in which Mark Twain himself stayed on several occasions. The attention to detail will provide you with complete serenity and relaxation while you unwind on the beautiful estate. Finding the mansion a place to slow down and experience a time when life held more journey and less destination, you will melt back into time. Most of the antiques on the first floor are original to the Garth’s, the original owners, building this ‘cottage’ as a get-away from downtown Hannibal. Now just outside the city limits by a half mile. (A nice bonus as the taxes ‘in the city’ are an additional 5 1/2 % what you will pay here.) You will be hard pressed to find anything kept up so well, and so loved by the both of the owners. Their mansion/home is like a museum you can touch, experience and enjoy. Please come and enjoy!
We do have a full bar with several dozens of wines to choose and a liquor you will be hard pressed to find a larger selection of anywhere else. Check our wine tasting event held each weekend.
