Murder Mysteries

Our guests perform in our murder mystery dinners regularly at the Garth Mansion. We now will customize and carry out a performance for your group at the Woodside Restaurant. Guests may participate in the murder mystery as always with Murder Mystery Dinners here at our Woodside Restaurant. If you just want to enjoy the show we are now offering the Murder Mystery Dessert Show. Here are the details:

The all inclusive Murder Mystery Dinner is interactive which unfolds as you enjoy dessert. Some of the audience is part of the drama and others play amateur detectives as they follow the clues to a murder that occurs in front of them. The guests who figure out the plot and reveal the killer based on the evidence wins the prize. Either join us for the entire dinner or the show. Dinner Show is $45 per person and the show with dessert is $20 per person. Please specify when making your reservation. No changing your mine later, ok?

The mayhem, mystery and action takes place in and around the audience. You will feel yourself drawn in by the characters. Audience members are chosen to portray additional characters in the production, given lines to read. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. Each show has a unique theme.

Cost is $45 per person including show and dinner, or the dessert only and show is the $20 per person, plus tax and gratuity. We do need at least 6 couples in your group to have the entertainer perform.

This event is participatory, if the guest so chooses. Every guest performer receives a character bio. About 8-20 have speaking parts: 4-ten minor and 4-ten major. Join us at the Woodside Restaurant at Garth Mansion for a hilarious evening, and enjoy some of the best food around. Call to make reservations for the next dinner at 573-221-2789.

The host explains how these mysteries work:

"As the audience arrives they are assigned new identities for the evening -- some of them becoming suspects in the crimes. The shows are very fast-paced and funny, half-scripted and half-improvised. As the mystery unfolds, a murder occurs, and the audience must figure out 'who dunnit'. People have a tremendous time hamming it up -- especially us!"
